SUPREME COURT RULING: Police Have No Duty To Protect The General Public

NewImageThe Supreme Court of the United States of America has consistently ruled that police officers, at all levels of the government, have no duty to protect the citizens of this country. They stated that it is the job of police officers to “investigate crimes and arrest criminals.” The principle rulings can be found in Warren v. District of Columbia and Justices Rule Police Do Not Have a Constitutional Duty to Protect Someone

There is a saying that “when seconds count, the police are minutes away.” Well, that is actually truer than you think. An above average police response time is between 1-2 minutes, but most crimes take place in just a few seconds. This means that during those precious few moments of an encounter with a criminal, you are basically on your own!

Surprisingly most people understand this and is one of the principles behind the Second Amendment (the other is to protect you and me from a tyrannical government). Mayor Michael Bloomberg, for example, gets this principle; that is why he has 3-7 armed body guards surrounding him where every he goes, in in his home town of New York City, NY. Amazingly though, the mayor doesn’t want to afford you the same right to protect yourself. Call him and ask why: 212-NEW-YORK

You have a constitutional right to protect yourself in the same way that progressive liberals do for themselves. Your town, states, and federal government are counting on you to be the First Responders in any emergency event. The Supreme Court has ruled that police have no duty to protect you, it is your responsibility. So, now it is time for you to take action. Stand up for the Second Amendment and legally exercise this right every day.
