BOOK OF THE MONTH: More Guns, Less Crime – John R. Lott, Jr.

NewImageYou need to be prepared to defend yourself and the second amendment with the relevant facts associated with gun control. As the progressive left continues to ramp up the lies associated with gun control, you will see more and more bold faced lies wrapped in pseudo science. For example, Obama states that statistics show that the lack of gun control results in more gun violence. This is a LIE. Normally I would say it is “not true,” but the time has come to call it like it is – this President is a bold face liar.

NewImageOne of the many keep references we need to familiarize ourself with is work of John R. Lott – More Guns, Less Crime: Understanding Crime and Gun Control Laws, Third Edition. On its initial publication in 1998, John R. Lott’s More Guns, Less Crime drew both lavish praise and heated criticism. More than a decade later, it continues to play a key role in ongoing arguments over gun-control laws: despite all the attacks by gun-control advocates, no one has ever been able to refute Lott’s simple, startling conclusion that more guns mean less crime. Relying on the most rigorously comprehensive data analysis ever conducted on crime statistics and right-to-carry laws, the book directly challenges common perceptions about the relationship of guns, crime, and violence. For this third edition, Lott draws on an additional ten years of data—including provocative analysis of the effects of gun bans in Chicago and Washington, D.C—that brings the book fully up to date and further bolsters its central contention.

Please read it, learn it, and share its insights with others. I will begin to share (post) key facts and insights I see in Lott’s work, and would encourage you to do the same. Don’t let the progressive left LIE their way to victory. Sometimes the cost of doing nothing is too high.
